In keeping with this truism, Hartland is committed to offering a wide range of trophies from massive non-typical whitetails scoring 250-300+" SCI to symmetrical heavy framed typicals over 200". Similarly, Hartland offers large typical elk bulls as well as massive non-typicals over 500".

• Magnificent Whitetails may weigh over 350 lbs and score over 250-300+ inches.
  
  Note: In 2009, the average score of whitetails taken at Hartland was 194.96". The "best" scores were 296 7/8", 265", 241 4/8". Only ten of the twenty 200+" whitetails were taken 2009. The remaining 200+" were two and three year olds; which promise to be great trophies for 2010.

Hunting Season

Generally, Hartland’s hunting season begins in late August and ends mid December. Special arrangements can be made to hunt at other times; for example in early August for hunters who wish to take a trophy whitetail or elk in velvet.

Hunting Methods

At Hartland we employ a variety of strategies to maximize your success in taking the trophy of your choice. These strategies include the use of ground blinds, tree stands as well as spot and stalk. Although many of our clients use rifles to hunt; Hartland’s terrain is a bow hunters’ haven for elusive whitetail or elk.
